Three burglaries have recently been reported in Minnetonka. A business at 110XX Cedar Lake Road and apartment buildings at 3XX Carlson Parkway and 61XX Chasewood Parkway reported several flat screen televisions stolen. The burglaries occurred between 2 a.m.–4 a.m. on weekends from late Friday to early Monday morning.
The suspect(s) pried the door open in two cases. The televisions were stolen from the party and workout rooms of the residential buildings. There is limited suspect description information at this time; four individuals (unknown race and gender) in one incident and a white male with possibly another individual involved in another incident.
The Minnetonka Police are urging people to be watchful and aware of suspicious activity, vehicles and individuals and to call 9-1-1 to report it.
- Make sure property inventory is up to date, record serial numbers, make and model of items and keep this record in a secure place. Having this information readily available in the event of a burglary increases the chances of locating stolen property and finding suspects.
- Install the television on a locking wall mount that deters theft.
- Leave lights on in the party and workout rooms.
- Have on-site staff check the room at odd hours.
If you observe suspicious activity related to this alert, please immediately call the Minnetonka Police Department by dialing 9-1-1. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may call the “Confidential Crime Line” at 952.935.8000.
This case is currently under investigation by the Minnetonka Police Department. If you have information about this crime, please contact Detective Terri Swanson at 952.939.8561 or email@example.com.
