Matching grant program
The I and I Grant Program:
Helping You Reduce Minnetonka’s Clear Water Flow

So, an inspector visits your home as part of the I and I program and determines your sump pump or foundation drain contributes clear flow to the sanitary sewer system. You want to do the right thing, but how are you going to pay for it?
The city is offering matching grants of up to $500 to those residents who need to make corrections to remove clear flow from the sanitary sewer system. For example, if the repair costs $1,000, the city will pay $500 and the homeowner will pay $500. If the repair is more than $1,000, the city will pay $500 and the homeowner will pay the balance.
In the rare cases where the repair or replacement bill is unusually high, homeowners also have the option for a special assessment, where the cost of the repair will be added to quarterly utility bills until the balance is paid.
