Police Reports
For a copy of a police report, visit the Minnetonka Police Department Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Public information is $0.25 per page for the first 100 pages. Special requests are charged by the hour to cover the cost of personnel.
To receive a copy of a police report via mail, send a request to the City Attorney’s Office, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd., Minnetonka, MN 55345. Be sure to include a check for $6 payable to the city of Minnetonka, the full name of defendant, the city in which the offense occurred, date of offense, and any police case or citation numbers you have. With three to five days of advance notice, you may also visit the Legal Department office and obtain a copy of a police report for $5.
No police reports are available until the case has been officially charged. Cases referred to the city of Minnetonka’s Legal Department for formal complaint are under investigation, and reports will not be available until the complaint has been filed with the Court.
