Tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities
Tenants and landlords each have their own set of rights and responsibilities that have been spelled out through federal and state laws. The Minnesota Office of the Attorney General has put together a booklet to help both tenants and landlords understand these rights and responsibilities. The booklet explains the laws on what should happen before the lease is signed, during the tenancy, ending the lease, other important laws and information, and further information or assistance.
