The Minnetonka City Council values the involvement of residents and has established the following boards and commissions to provide opportunities for participation. To serve on a board or commission, applicants must live in Minnetonka.

Upcoming meetings are available on the city calendar. View the agendas and minutes page to find meeting agendas and minutes for each commission.

Ad Hoc Committees
In addition to the boards, commissions, and committees, the mayor appoints ad hoc committees to advise on specific issues from time to time.

Boards and Commissions Applications

Do you want to be involved in your local government? Consider applying for a board or commissions. Applicants must have a desire to serve their community in a volunteer capacity and be willing to contribute the number of hours necessary for the particular group to which they are applying. Applicants are interviewed by the city council and appointed by the mayor. Selections are made as openings occur throughout the year.

If you’re interested in participating, please download an application (below). Once you complete the fillable PDF, you can either print the completed application and mail it in, or save the document and email it to Pat Schutrop at

Currently, there is one vacancy on the Senior Advisory Board.
