Election updates

General election day is set for Tuesday, November 5, 7 a.m.–8 p.m. Find where to vote and how to register to vote on election day.

On the ballot in 2013:

  • Mayor
  • Council Member, At Large, Seat A
  • Council Member, At Large, Seat B
  • ISD 270 Hopkins School Board Members
  • ISD 276 Minnetonka School Board Members
  • ISD 284 Wayzata School Board Members

2013 Election Calendar

  • May 21-June 4: Candidate filing
  • June 6: Last day for a candidate to withdraw (5 p.m.)
  • June 28-August 12: Absentee voting for Municipal Primary
  • July 23: Pre-voter registration for Municipal Primary closes (5 p.m.)
  • August 13: Municipal Primary (if needed)
  • September 20-November 4: Absentee voting for General Election
  • October 15: Pre-voter registration for General Election closes (5 p.m.)
  • November 5: General Election

Am I registered to vote?

The Minnesota Secretary of State’s website now allows you to verify if you are currently registered to vote at your present address. To check your voter registration status go to: http://mnvotes.sos.state.mn.us/VoterStatus.aspx. You can also call city hall to find out if you are registered to vote.
