Fall election filing update: May 24, 2013
The city of Minnetonka will hold municipal elections this fall. City positions that will be on the November 5 general election ballot include mayor and the two at-large council seats. Filings for these offices opened Tuesday, May 21, and remain open through Tuesday, June 4. There were no new filings on Friday, May 24.
Native Plant Market and Eco Fun Fest set for June 5, 2013
Join us for the Native Plant Market and Eco Fun Fest Wednesday, June 5, 3–7 p.m., at the Minnetonka Civic Center Campus, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd. The event will take place in the city hall parking lot, rain or shine.
Summer Festival, Ice Cream Social are Saturday, June 22
Bring the entire family to the Minnetonka Summer Festival Saturday, June 22, for children’s rides, a petting zoo, ice skating, musical entertainment and much more!
Welcome spring and summer with Eco Walks and Talks
This year, you can participate in a series of workshops and plant walks offered by Minnetonka’s natural resource division staff. Other workshops are also offered through various community organizations.
Garlic mustard workshops in May, June; volunteers needed to pull plants in parks
Free workshops will be offered on three dates—Thursday, May 2; Thursday, May 23, and Wednesday, June 12—to help you understand this very invasive plant.
Spring leaf drop-off program extended to May 28
The Public Works facility at 11522 Minnetonka Blvd will be accepting leaves and yard waste from Minnetonka residents through May 28, 2013.
