Labor Day delays recycling collection; city offices and brush drop-off closed 

The Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 1, will delay recycling collection by one day. City offices and the brush drop-off at Minnetonka Public Works will be closed Monday, Sept. 1, for Labor Day.

2008 state primary set for Tuesday, September 9 

Federal, state, county and judicial offices may be on the ballot for the state primary Tuesday, September 9.

Special one-day drop-off set for Sep. 13 

Minnetonka residents may drop off selected materials at a special drop-off, hosted by the city of Minnetonka, set for Saturday, Sep. 13

Minnetonka Fire Department and City Open House is October 7 

The city of Minnetonka will host its annual Fire Department and City Open House Tuesday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Minnetonka Civic Center Campus, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd., Minnetonka.

Salary disclosure

Chapter 156 of the Session Laws of 2005 requires that “a city or county with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and base salaries of its three highest-paid employees.” For the city of Minnetonka, titles and salaries as of July 1, 2008, are: City Manager—$132,375.36; City Attorney—$125,873.28; and Public Works Director—$117,461.76.
